Finding a solution begins with understanding the problem

Our data-driven, people-first solutions democratize the built environment and help build better systems.

Core Capabilities

Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT) has been at the forefront of urban innovation since 1978. We work to—

  • Democratize the built environment. Our work is distinguished by our people-first approach because the most effective solutions emerge when innovative data analysis meets local knowledge and community priorities.
  • Build better systems. Our interdisciplinary team brings expertise in urban planning, community engagement, data science, engineering, policy, community development, and more to each project.

We bring knowledge and command of mixed-methods and GIS research, urban planning, and data-informed policy development, plus community engagement and coalition-building as well as subject-matter expertise on climate, infrastructure, and economic development.

Partnering with CNT

Our expertise in urban sustainability has been commissioned by governments, advocates, policy makers, and community groups. Our capabilities include urban planning, sustainability strategies, policy, spatial analysis, GSI, transportation infrastructure, impact metrics and indicators, web tool design, and community outreach.
