Franklin Ballenger was born and raised in Chicago and is proud to be a “WESTSIDER.” Franklin joined the CNT team in April 2022 and leads the organization’s development activities. He has over 30 years of experience working with numerous community organizations and churches across the city. His passion is to develop the next generation of leaders. You can often find Franklin drawing inspiration from a new book or thought-provoking film. His favorite books are Race Matters by Cornel West and Theirs is the Kingdom by Robert Lupton. His favorite superhero is Spiderman, and his favorite movies are The Social Network, The Pursuit of Happyness and Akeelah and the Bee.
